I picked up my new bike yesterday - a beautiful Scott Plasma 10. Ultegra drivetrain, full carbon everything! I took her for a short ride down to Hains Point yesterday, and I only proved two things: One, she is fast and smooth, fun to ride! Two, I am out of biking shape. Knowing I was getting a new bike pretty much took all motivation out of riding my old one, so my biking muscles were a little rusty. I'll get back in the swing of things soon enough. (I'll post pictures once I figure out where in my car I buried my camera.) BIG TIME SHOUT OUT to all the guys over at The Bike Rack for getting the bike put together for me so quickly and really taking care of me.
Headed out to Cambridge, MD, in a little bit to go support all of my friends at the Eagleman 70.3 Triathlon tomorrow morning. I'll be back in DC for Monday, then I start pushing west on Tuesday. Can't wait to get out to Montana!

P.S. I am taking suggestions for potential names for the new bike, so please comment with any ideas you have. Do recall that bikes, like ships, are female and should be named with that in mind.

How about if you name her after a porn star since she's easy/fun to ride?? LOL. Sorry, I couldn't resist. And I have no name suggestions. I hope you come up with something intimidating :)
