4 Days

Almost exactly four days from the time of this posting, the gun will go off to start Ironman 70.3 Lake Stevens!

I am safely ensconced in the Seattle area in a town called Tulilap, which is apparently in the larger town of Marysville, which is about 45 minutes outside of Seattle proper. Of course, being in the Seattle area, the coffee brand capitol of the world (and that's true even if you exclude the absurdities of the Super Fourbucks chain, which despite its ubiquity doesn't actually offer extremely high-quality coffee)--being in this area I expected to have at least decent coffee in the hotel. We'll see what they have at breakfast, but my room is stocked with Maxwell House. Oh well.

Today's plan is breakfast in a few minutes (since I'm not acknowledging the time-zone change from Montana and am waking up slightly earlier than usual in preparation for an early race morning, I've been up and showered long before they opened the dining hall for breakfast), then off to the race site to drive the bike and run courses, run one lap of the run course, ride one lap of the bike course, and take a short swim in the lake. I'll probably jet into Seattle proper in the afternoon before picking up Mom and Dad from the airport this evening.
